Here is a message from the president Shotokan Karate of America

Dear Member,

Recently, Japan has been hit by a series of catastrophic events. Sensei encourages all Shotokan Ohshima member organizations to participate in the relief efforts, by directly contacting all their members asking to donate in support. In addition, he would especially like to encourage the younger generation to contribute, no matter what the amount may be. To participate, helping the less fortunate, is what's most important. Therefore, no one should be forced to participate.
By extending Good Will to help at this crucial time, will also strengthen the bond of friendship for present and future generations. Sensei will as Mr. Ono to hand deliver directly, especially to young people affected, who
have lost everything, yet are still finding purpose in helping others. To those members wishing to contribute, please send funds made out to SKA and memo,"Japan Relief". All donations must be received by APRIL 31, 2011.

Thanking you in advance for your thoughtful support.

Ron Thom
SKA President
